Antonia Burrell Forest Dew Skin Conditioner is versatile.
It is a one-step product. It is a layer-able product. It is a moisturiser. It is a toner. It is a serum. It is an essence. It is a conditioner for the skin.
What it really IS, is incredibly lush, nourishing, pampering, and gentle. Not to mention sustainably made, and cruelty-free.
Antonia Burrell, a UK-based faciallist with more than 20 years' experience, is Associate Lecturer at the London College of Fashion. Her Holistic Skincare collection is a range of multi-tasking products that are a natural blend of potent, predominantly organic, pure, bio-active plant extracts. The Forest Dew Skin Conditioner is my favourite in the range, and a part of my daily skincare routine.

The packaging is all in dark glass jars. You cannot get more diligent than that. The product is dispensed by spray mechanism. The texture is silky, somewhat viscous, rather like sugar glaze, though the product is clear.
For those who are so acne-prone that any kind of skincare causes breakouts, this is a great all-purpose product that hydrates, tones and protects.
You can see what Antonia Burrell says the product does:
The active ingredients are plant-based. There is no fragrance, despite the inclusion of lavender and cucumber.
How to use Antonia Burrell Forest Dew Skin Conditioner
I use Antonia Burrell Forest Dew two times a day - after my acid toner, before my serum - as an essence. If I am hard-pressed for time in the mornings, I skive off other products and proceed with my sunscreen, primer and makeup. As I said before, you can use it in lieu of a hydrating toner, or a serum, an essence, a spritz or a hydrator.
The skin conditioner feels light and refreshing and dries dewy. It is a beautiful base for makeup, and you don't have to worry about flaking or caking. It does a great job soothing the tingling caused by my toners - currently Stridex pads in the morning and Peter Thomas Roth Complexion Correction Pads in the evening. I'm also far less oily than I was in 2015.
Forest Dew feels so luxurious, pampering and decadent that I now skip facial mists while "doing" my skin and keep them in my handbag for refreshing through the day.
Verdict and where to buy
Antonia Burrell Forest Dew Skin Conditioner definitely hydrates the skin beautifully, as promised. I cannot confirm pore refining - my gargantuan pores reduced ever since I began acid toning, so I cannot tell how you far this works on them. It also controls sebum to a great extent, as promised. Nor has it ever contributed to breakouts - it has soothed post-breakout, post-acne-treatment skin after that time of the month. I'll never be without it - as you can see, I already have three bottles in three different sizes!Antonia Burrell Forest Dew Skin Conditioner comes in bottles of 50ml (£25.20), 100ml (£35.50), and 200ml (£55.40). I keep the 50ml bottle for travel and am halfway through the 200ml one. Buy 'em here. Codes FALL18 or LF15 will get you a bit of a discount. Worldwide shipping available.
Why not combine the 100ml bottle with the LookFantastic Advent Calendar? That should be a great Christmas treat!
