Cult Classics Autumn VIP Beauty Goody Bag Review

When the seasons change, brands and retailers come out with GWPs and freebie offers, and I'm an unashamed sucker for gifts with purchase.
This year's Autumn offering from UK-based beauty retailer Cult Beauty had two versions. The VIP version included four extra deluxe products, including a full-sized Tata Harper cleanser. The regular version carried 14 products.

Let's take a minute to look at the packaging. The whole thing came in an awesome slide-open storage box. The box is very sturdy and can easily hold my trainers.

The VIP extra products were:

Quick thoughts about some of these:

Tata Harper Nourishing Oil Cleanser isn't your regular emulsifying oil cleanser. This stuff wipes off makeup without foaming, and you have to take it off with a flannel cloth. Am embracing oil this year, so will give it a whirl.

Sonya Dakar Eye Wash has been raved about everywhere - it is a super-gentle, one-step eye makeup remover that annihilates even waterproof makeup. Good. Sometimes, I tend to over-scrub. If this works out well, I'll repurchase. They have a buy-one-get-one-free offer ongoing right now, so might be a great idea to buy now rather than postpone.

Dr Dennis Gross Ferulic + Retinol Recovery Peel was supposed to contain eight packets - I got only six and have emailed them about it. They've said they'll let me know how they'll resolve it over the next couple of days. Each of these packets is huge - I'll be cutting the pads into two. Or even four.

Ouai products have been making waves everywhere ever since Kim Kardashian revealed that she used them. There are three of these treatment masques in the box, and they should be used as intensive post-shampooing treatments. Pampering hair spa coming up next weekend!

I've reviewed the Aurelia Probiotics Miracle Skin Cleanser here. Brilliant to get a travel-sized version of this non-greasy makeup banishing balm cleanser.

Alpha-H Beauty Sleep Power Peel - Bought the full size, LOVE it. Great to get more.

Allies of Skin Overnight and All-Day masks are supposed to be used jointly. The night mask promises to "speed up cellular renewal while working with your sleep cycle to ameliorate past damage" and says, "this also has a dramatic impact on acne – reducing acne lesions by 67% in 28 days". If it does that, I'll buy a year's supply!

Goldfaden MD Bright Eyes Dark Circle Radiance Concentrate. Nothing more needs to be said.

SkinOwl's Beauty Steam will be used up in a pedicure over the weekend, since I don't steam my face after the infection last year.

January Labs Restorative Tonic Mist has been on my wishlist ever since they launched on Cult Beauty. Great to get a 30ml bottle  to try out.

Kypris Beauty Elixirs are legend. I love the Clearing and Moonlight Catalyst serums. I've heard this is the best of their serums. Will try it shortly - it smells just like 1,000 sweet roses would. I'll feel like Cleopatra. No hang on, that was donkey milk, but am sure she must have used 1,000 roses sometime.

Verdict

I love this selection even more than Cult Beauty's Summer Bag, reviewed here. That included nutritional supplements - this one is all-beauty. I especially love that they had a VIP option for customers who spent £175. The regular version was free with purchase of products for £100. I also LOVE the brands they have chosen this time. Everything is generously sized; more so than the Summer bag.
