Eco-friendly luxury beauty retailer A Beautiful World comes out with two beauty boxes each year - one for Spring/Summer and one for Autumn/Winter. The products chosen - from the brands ABW carries - are organic, eco-friendly, preservative-free and cruelty-free. The boxes are always sold out in an hour or two of the launch. This year, I managed to snag one before they sold out.

MuLondon Organic Rose, Rosehip and Rosemary Moisturiser - full-sized
A 100% vegan and cruelty-free British brand, MuLondon has featured in the ABW box before - I swear by their White Chocolate Knee, Elbow and Heel Cream, reviewed here, during dry weather. Honestly, that stuff looks and smells just like white chocolate and I have to tell myself not to eat it.This moisturiser looks rich and creamy. It contains coconut butter, jojoba oil, rose otto oil, rosehip and rosemary extracts and shea butter. Smells great. This is a body moisturiser and will come in handy during the dry weather.
Yarok Feed Your Style Dry Shampoo
This goes into my travel bag. It contains organic arrowroot tapioca powder and starch, aloe leaf powder and French green clay. Yarok's Scalp Serum, reviewed here, completely annihilated dandruff for me. Three per cent of Yarok's annual profits go to conserving rainforests in Peru and Ecuador.Josh Rosebrook Cacao Antioxidant Mask
Looks and smells like dark chocolate. I've already treated myself to a mask last night. Fabulous stuff. Dries nicely but not in a tight way, and is easy to rinse off, leaving behind soft, bright skin. I could live in a vat of this stuff.Skinnamon Renew Orange Sea Salt + Himalayan Apricot
The smallest sample in the box - there is only enough for one use. This is supposed to be a body scrub but can also be used as a foot or bath soak. I will be using it in the bath.Skin & Tonic Gentle Scrub/Mask
I'm in love with everything from Skin & Tonic - treated myself to a face oil, a cocoa powder mask and a rose mist recently and will review those soon. This is a fine powder that can serve as a cleanser or a mask. I've tried mixing it with cleansing oil (from MV Organics) and milk (Caudalie) as a very gentle, non-foaming, non-abrasive cleanser, and also used it as a mask. It contains just six ingredients - corn starch, oats, French pink clay, yoghurt powder, rosehip seed powder and geranium oil. Brilliant for use as a cleanser or a mask.
Skin & Tonic Lip Balm
This comes in three variations - peppermint, lemon and naked. I got the latter. It has no fragrance and no taste. It only contains coconut oil, beeswax and shea butter. Uncomplicated, but melts on and hydrates beautifully.Esmie Handcrafted Notebook
Already in my handbag. Hand-bound in the UK using silk-screen (hand) printed paper. I only ever use fountain pens and dislike biros (ballpoint pens, for the uninitiated), so it is difficult to find good quality paper where the ink will not spread - this one passes the test beautifully.Youth To The People Kale + Spinach Green Tea Hyaluronic Acid Moisture Cream
Kale, green tea and spinach. I would be thrilled to try out this cream even if there was no hyaluronic acid! It is a nicely "wet" cream, so oily-skinned people need not worry about greasiness. Again, no fragrance. Nice.Verdict
A sumptuous pampering box that is perfect for a luxurious spa weekend. Four full-sized products; two half-sized products; two samples. What's not to like? The products contain NO parabens, synthetic fragrance, preservatives, gluten, phthalates, mineral oil, alcohol or sulphates. Also, the individual cost of any one of the full-sized products (apart from the lip balm, of course) offsets the cost of the box - £20.
Keep a lookout at A Beautiful World for the Autumn Sampler Box - you can sign up for the notifications here. I've heard that they are currently reconsidering the policy of shipping outside of the EU, BUT I hope they change their minds! The boxes are just too good to be denied to the world.
