I attended on the first day of the event and had fun exploring brand kiosks, which were placed through the mall rather than in one square. And no, I did not break my shopping ban, not even for a lip balm! I definitely need to knock myself out on Boxing Day as a treat, once the ban is over.
There were the usual free makeover stalls and also little contests going on every now and then. I also spotted several sales and GWP offers. They had 10% off anything Palmers' - possibly for Black Friday - and I was tempted to stock up on cocoa butter for the dry weather.
There were several perfume kiosks as well. I am eyeing Marc Jacobs Daisy after my ban is done, since I already have Honey. I received a trio of mini skincare samples from the Shiseido Benefiance range and a sample of Paco Rabanne Lady Million to try.
I hope they bring in more brands next year - or maybe host this every quarter. LuLu is, after all, the largest shopping mall in South Asia, so it makes sense for more brands to attend. As far as I spoke to the people at the kiosks, they were all excited to be a part of the 'fest and were looking forward to frequenting the place in the future. I would love to see more high-end makeup brands next time.
