Dior's Tie Dye Collection captured my attention when I saw the products at their counter some months ago. The collection features lipsticks and blushes. I have been meaning to show you the lipsticks for quite a while now, but life tends to get in the way, and the best laid plans et cetera, et cetera. The shades I chose are Fuchsia Utopia and Cosmic Pink.

I am not going to waffle on about the pretty packaging. Dior Addict lipsticks are iconic, and have been around for ages. However, the Tie Dye lipsticks feature two colours on the bullet.
These are nice and hydrating on the lips. Both of them are on the sheerer side. They aren't just tinted balms; but they aren't the most opaque lippies out there. Colour is buildable, so I do get medium to full coverage on the lips. Staying power isn't good through a meal, though. I haven't ever got good staying power from any Dior lipstick.
The thing is, the pattern on the bullet can lead to patchy application. So be prepared for some unevenness. The bright side is, the shade is sheer so the unevenness isn't visible in real life. Once the colour is built up, there is less patchiness. You'll see what I mean in the on-lips photos.
Cosmic Pink (top) is a medium rose, the kind of shade I adore best and wear all the time. Fuchsia Utopia (bottom) is pinker; a bit too bright for my subtle tastes. But it helps me use Cosmic Pink without worrying about messing up the "CD" design, knowing I have Fuchsia Utopia to look at.
See where the mild unevenness comes in? That's the two different pigments on the bullet.
On the lips.
Cosmic Pink, one swipe. See how patchy the pigment turns out:
