Ipsy Glam Bag July 2015 review

Guess what I got in my July Ipsy bag?

The July 2015 Ipsy Glam Bag is themed "Summer Lovin'" and the bag itself is bright and fun. I'm glad it is canvas and not vinyl.
I had good self-control this time and did not seek out spoilers on the internet, mostly because of time constraints, so I certainly did not know what to expect from this bag! All I guessed was that the bag would have something to do with summer. But one product in the bag made me light up...

2. Bellapierre Lipstick in P.I.N.K.

4. Ofra Eyeshadow and Highlighter in Bliss
5. Coolway Beachy Salt Spray

My favourite product, of course, is the Tarte bronzer. I am incredibly tanned right now thanks to Rome and don't need bronzers, but after a few months in constant air-conditioning, I will definitely use this for a subtle glow. I did not expect I would be lucky enough to get Tarte! If I only got the Tarte bronzer and a bunch of foil sachets, I would still be happy!
I wanted to love the Bellapierre Lipstick. I am already familiar with the brand thanks to Lip Factory but the shade is just too bold for me. I prefer dusty rose/mauvey pinks.
Since lip balm is something I am always running out of, I am glad to have the Jersey Shore Sun Mongongo Lip Balm in Vanilla Coconut Cream. It smells great. The Ofra eyeshadow is a shimmery neutral shade.
Of late, I have been experimenting with textured hair and I will try out the salt spray. I hope it doesn't tangle up my already super-knotty hair. We have been seeing quite a few travel-sized hair sprays in beauty boxes, haven't we? Maybe a face mist would make a good change?

The Ofra eyeshadow was squashed in transit, so there's quite a bit of powder everywhere including on the lid of that capsule. Never mind; I have enough eyeshadows in this shade.

Verdict

The Tarte Bronzer: LOVE! I'm still pinching myself that I actually got Tarte in an Ipsy bag. I now know the other choices included Essie nail polish and Teeez lippies, but I'm glad I got a Tarte bronzer. I'm not as excited by the Bellapierre lippie, but can use the other things.
I can't wait to see what Ipsy has in store for us next month. Hopefully there are some big brand names in there!
