I am trying to organise a gazillion things before leaving on a month-and-a-half sojourn in London (and hopefully Rome) on June 1. Flights alone are done. I've gone and booked at too many flats to stay and need to narrow them down based on location and facilities. It will be good to return to the UK and hopefully I can catch up with my former classmates at some point.
Sometime ago, I had done a post on the NARS Audacious lippies, featuring Jane, Anita and Natalie - click here to view it. At the time, I had said I would show you Anna by itself. Described by NARS as a "smoky rose", this is the lipstick in the Audacious line-up that will appeal to all mauve and deep-pink fans. This is the kind of colour you can pair with both strong smoky eye makeup or a subtle, everyday look. It is a work-appropriate, daytime lipstick.

I wouldn't call Anna dusty rose; it is deeper and more purple-toned. It is a cool-toned medium mauve shade that will suit all skintones. Some mauve lipsticks tend to wash you out if you are tanned or olive-toned; this will not. Anna is not an MLBB shade on me and is deeper than my comfort-zone dusty rose. That said, it is certainly not a "deep" lipstick but leans subtle enough to please me.
This swatch is in one swipe.
Artificial light - you can see the purple tones clearly here. One swipe.
Anna is mauvier than a typical dusty rose like Anita. It provides full coverage and a semi-matte finish. Staying power is about the same as other Audacious lipsticks (maybe a drink or two but not through a full meal).
Do you need this? If you are into wearable, neutral mauve lipsticks, then you will love Anna. This isn't going to scream at you in photographs or real life. I rate it among my top five mauve lipsticks.
