Whole Grain Memebox review and giveaway

When Memebox released the Milk box, reviewed here, and the Oriental Medicine box, reviewed here, they had also released a Special #16 Whole Grain beauty box. I skipped it first, thinking it would be full of harsh scrubs. What a birdbrain!
Thankfully, they restocked it and I bought it rightaway. It is not often that I get a second chance to correct blunders.

Here is my unboxing and review of the Whole Grain beauty box 16 from Memebox.

Everything to pamper yourself, innit? A quick look at each product:

Grinif Nature Oatmeal Scrub Bar 130g

A 100% natural, hand-made soap containing oatmeal, rice bran, mung beans, red beans, shea butter and jojoba oil. No, not edible. I like shower gels but I also love my soap bars, so this goes into my shower, to address my reptilian legs.

Herbclinic Rice Bran Powder Pack 80g

This is 100% raw rice bran powder. You mix it with some milk, and maybe, some cooked brown rice or black beans, and apply the paste to your face and keep it on for 20 minutes before rinsing off. Intense nourishment, right there for the skin. I am keeping this for my weekend pampering sessions.

Purebess Galactomyces 100% 50ml

Bee venom, snail mucus, bifida bacteria, fungi.... my skin care stash is turning into a menagerie's secretions. Galacto-thingy is, as the latter half of the name suggests, a fungus, listed in some SK-II products. Yeast, really, and grain-spoilers. The organism has antioxidant and moisturising benefits on human skin, which is why it is all the rage in Korea. My face is already home to acne vulgaris, so maybe both microorganisms will become friends and start community living. I am going to try this only after all my acne is completely gone.

Purebess Galactomyces 80 Eye Cream 50ml

Apparently the percentage of the galactomyces varies and you need a lower percentage for the sensitive under-eye area. My dry under-eye skin certainly needs moisture locked in. This, I will try rightaway.

Purederm Anti-Stress Heat Therapy Oatmeal Mask 150ml

Move over, sheet masks and peeling masks. Right now, I am all about the heating masks. This is my fifth, I think. I will do a separate post on the other four, of which I especially LOVE two. This contains oatmeal, jasmine and CACTUS extracts (I know, right) and honey. I have used this once already. I liked the warming feeling. My gripe was that it was way too runny, so I had to go change into fresh PJs.

Purederm Rice Bran Collagen Mask x 2

These are sheet masks made of natural pulp and contain rice bran extracts and Vitamin E. I am glad they sent two. Now that I am using at least one mask each week, I keep running out of the things.

Purederm Daily Moisturising Oatmeal Hand Mask

Oh, goody, my first hand mask! You slip these on like gloves and remove them after half an hour or so and massage the serum thingy in. I can't wait to try these, though my hands are not too bad, if I say so myself.

Purederm Invigorating Walnut Foot Scrub

Ah, finally a scrub in the Whole Grain box. At least I guessed one product right. The Foot Care box was lacking foot scrubs as well. I wish they had not sent out one of these single-use packets. Even if you have product left over, you are going to have to hunt for spare pots to store the remaining scrub.

Summary and current deals

A nice box, with a decent set of skincare products just like the Milk and Oriental box in this series. Where are you going to get so much of skin-pampering goodies for just $23? I am really glad I bought this and am sure Whole Grain 2 will be as good.
