Vitamin Care Memebox review, unboxing

You have to give it to the way Memebox comes out with themes for boxes. Milk. Whole Grain. Oriental Medicine. Gangnam Style. Pore Care. Tea and Coffee. And, proudly unboxed today, Vitamin Care.
I guessed there would be citrus and vitamin C products in there. Excellent for the skin, of course.
Memebox says the products in this box are vitamin-enriched and will revitalise, brighten and hydrate the skin and body, boost collagen production and diminish fine lines while preserving a youthful look. The products contain vitamins A, C, D and E. Sounds amazing, innit? Now you know why I HAD to buy it. The Vitamin Care box is available here, and you get three Memepoints for buying it!

Here is my review and unboxing of the Memebox Special 12 Vitamin Care beauty box.

The products I received in the Vitamin Care Memebox are:

Seven products in all. Two are sample-sized, because this is not a Superbox, but a special Memebox. A quick look at each product.

Elizavecca Real White Vita Sauce 30 50ml

This is a very concentrated Vitamin C serum. Believe it or not, the only Vitamin C products I have used before are from Murad and I love them, so I bet I love this. A clear serum, you only need to apply some 2-3 drops  all over the face and pat them in. But you must shake the bottle before each use. I am nearing the end of my Lancome Advanced Genefique serum and have a few lined up first, but will be giving this a try. The beauty about Vitamin C is that it does not break me out - yet.

Amini Vitamin Shower Body Soap Bar 120g

I have a weakness for bar soap, apart from shower gels. Especially the ones that come in different colours and textures. This is a translucent orange bar containing rosehip, lavender and peppermint oils. I am definitely going to use this.

Pure Smile Hand Gel Citrus Crash 30ml

I get that this fits the theme - Vitamin C. But such a tiny sample, Memebox? This belonged more to the Office Essentials Box rather than this one, size-wise. It smells great - a hand sanitiser that also moisturises. I am putting it in my handbag, so I can take it along on road trips. We once went hiking to a rock-cut cave and ate sandwiches and went down with tummy aches, so this will be used.

Pure Smile Gelee Labo Marmalade 12g

This is my ABSOLUTE FAVOURITE product in this box. I have already finished it and loved this mask which looks just like orange jam. It contains orange extracts, hyaluronic acid, centella asiatica and liquorice root extracts. My gripe? The size! There was only enough for two uses. Please, please, please, Memebox - have a fruit-special box out soon and give us the full size. I'll buy!

 

Pure Smile Lip Treatment Mix Fruits

This lip balm contains vitamin E, snail mucus extracts (from the LEGS!), hyaluronic acid, shea butter and macadamia seed oil. Unfortunately, as you can see from the lip photos here, it gave me milia and ruined my lip swatches for a while. I can't ask my Mum to try it, since she is 40x more allergic than I, but there are always others.... *evil laugh*

Evas Vitamin Sun Cream SPF38 50ml

Ah, now sunscreen was not a product I was expecting in this box. Apparently this contains Vitamin E. I always prefer Korean sunscreen for the body now, since it has a higher factor and works better. This will be used.

Pure Smile Juicy Point Pads Lemon and Orange x 2

It took me a while to realise what these cute things were. I first thought they were eye masks you apply while wearing a face mask, like those cucumber slice things. Turns out these are Vitamin E- and hyaluronic acid-enriched pads for skin emergencies such as dry or flaky patches, both on the face and the body. You put them on the problem area for 5-10 minutes and remove the pad and massage in the essence to find problem-free skin. I would have preferred it if these were eye patches, really. But then these will be tried when I flake out a bit, which always happens after November.

Summary 
Not a bad lot for $23. I love a couple of things in this box and really wish they had sent out a full-sized jar or pot or case of that marmalade. I want more; far, far, more. Anyone trying it out once would agree with me. They could have sent out just one Point Pad instead, or chucked the milia-inducing lip balm.
