I have already done a detailed post on the contents of my travel makeup bags here, and one on my travel makeup and brush bags here. But I wanted to do an updated post on the contents of my travel makeup bag, particularly because it was the height of summer during this trip.
As you can see, I picked my spacious Debenhams makeup bag this time, and stuffed whatever did not fit into the nooks and crannies of my suitcase. Not pictured are brushes, since they are pretty much the same as the last time (see first link in the above paragraph).
I am not going to name or list everything like I did the last time, but will just give you a brief idea of what I packed.
I did not take any eyeshadow palettes along this time - I brought just the two Girlactik single eyeshadows from my latest Lip Factory box. I had a sneaky suspicion I would pick up a palette or two or three, as I ended up doing, and I did not want to cartload too many palettes back.
I did take my favourite compact - the Shiseido Sheer Mattifying Compact - but also a cream and a liquid foundation each, because I did not know which could withstand the desert heat.
I also brought along the Too Faced Lash Lining Tool and the Bourjois Erasable Eyeliner and their Volume Twist-Up Mascara.
Lippies, of course - my favourite Chanel Rouge Double Intensite goes with me everywhere, as also Estee Lauder Double Wear Stay In Place Lip Duo. But I also took along some Bobbi Brown lip colors since they are subtle and suitable for work, as also a couple of Too Faced La Creme lipsticks and Givenchy Le Rouge in Brun Vintage.
My favourite primer, the Porefessional from Benefit, comes along everywhere as well, since I keep hoarding the stuff. I also have Innisfree No Sebum Mineral Primer this time.
My favourite setting powder, theBalm's S3xy Mama, is here as well. High time I bought a back-up of this.
Acne care is a must - since I am in the middle of a chin breakout, I have OXY10 and Neutrogena On The Spot Treatment with me.
For the eyes, I only have a sample tube of Givenchy Hydra Sparkling Eye Cream from the last time. This is because I expect to get more eye care samples from brands ;)
I packed the Sephora Pro Airbrush Concealer Brush 57, which is beyond brilliant, and the Eco Tools six-piece eye set.
Whatever did not fit into the Debenhams bag, as I said, was stuffed into my suitcase.
My trusty Beautyblender is never too far from me. The reason I have both black and pink in that little pouch below is that the pink is now my main applicator while my old black Beautyblender is on its last legs. Filling gaps in my suitcase are lipbalms, shampoo, body lotion (conditioner is already packed, I believe), a sample of Lancome Advanced Genefique, Max Clinic Oil Massage Foam and so on.
I have a couple of sheet masks, foot masks, a foot cream, L'Occitane hand cream and a hair spray as well. My Neutrogena Oil-Free Acne Wash and Foreo Luna go with me, no matter where, what or why. I packed two sunscreens - both travel-sized - since we are talking about the Arabian desert here.
And, at the risk of being called an outdated Cressida Bonas-wannabe, I have always preferred black cotton scrunchies to anything else - except maybe the Invisibobble, which needs repurchasing after my return.
So that's pretty much it for this trip. Hauls, freebies and everything else to follow soon! Ciao!
