Being an oily- and uneven-skinned person, a primer is a must for me whenever I put on makeup (Read: venture outside). I am always looking for new primers to try out, though I will admit to having my favourites. You can read reviews of some of the primers I have tried here.
My friend Shivani got me the Revlon Beyond Natural Smoothing Primer a few months ago. I have been on the lookout for a good budget primer for sometime now. While Benefit Porefessional is the best I have used, I tend to forgo it sometimes, in order to "save" it for special occasions or long hauls, despite hoarding three full-sized tubes and two minis - and counting. So each time I come across a new primer, I tend to wonder if it can replace Porefessional.
The tube dispenses the right amount for me and is easy to control. No complaints here.
But there is no oil-control or mattification whatsoever. And when my face becomes shiny, my makeup slides off and collects or collects on my jawline. Which makes staying power a joke. For me, a primer ought to not only provide a smooth surface, but also hold on to makeup for longer and mattify decently. Big fail there for oily skin. The moist finish also makes me feel greasy. A far more "wet" version of Accessorize Flawlessly Smooth Primer, but the latter pills on me, though it holds on to makeup better.
When I found out that my skin and this primer did not like each other, I gave this primer to my Mum, whose skin is on the drier side, and she likes this primer as it gives her face a dewy finish.
You can see that it looks moist when spread out - this moisture takes a bit of rubbing in to disappear, which is when it feels greasy on me, and not siliconey.
Summary
Revlon Beyond Natural Smoothing Primer would work on those with dry skin, but not on people with oily skin. Also, those with sensitivity to 'cones ought to stay away.

Here is my review of the Revlon Beyond Natural Smoothing Primer.
Packaging of the Revlon Beyond Natural Smoothing Primer
I like that the plastic tube is clear, so you can see the amount of product left. The packaging is not fancy is does look cheap, but remember, this is a drugstore brand so we cannot expect Benefit's whimsy or Guerlain's bling here. The tube dispenses the right amount for me and is easy to control. Formula of the Revlon Beyond Natural Smoothing Primer
I must say that this feels very siliconey - but unlike Porefessional, or Time Balm or Bourjois Flower Perfection, all of which are siliconey primers that dry out matte, the Revlon Beyond Natural Smoothing Primer is moist and dewy. Yes, it does feel silky and smooth on the skin, but also a tad moist. For those with oily skin - those who want to mattify their skin - this is a cause for concern. Results with Revlon Beyond Natural Smoothing Primer
The good points first. For me, this does make my skin smoother and softer and provides a decent canvas on which to apply foundation and blurs my pores. Nor has this primer broken me out, and you know my face breaks out if someone breathes in its general direction. But there is no oil-control or mattification whatsoever.
