Last month, I did not use sheet masks or sachets. Usually, I go through at least two sheet masks in a month, but I stuck to the GlamGlow YouthMud Tinglexfoliate Treatment pack in April whenever my skin needed a pick-me-up.
Apart from just four products, I did not really like any of my empties for April 2014. In fact, I went through some of them over the span of a few months as they were such a pain to finish. But you will know all those details as you read on.

Apart from just four products, I did not really like any of my empties for April 2014. In fact, I went through some of them over the span of a few months as they were such a pain to finish. But you will know all those details as you read on.
Here are the beauty products I used up in April 2014 and really quick reviews of each.
Dirty Works Bare Necessity Body Lotion
Don't get me wrong. I love, LOVE, L.O.V.E. Dirty Works and could use several of their products forever. The problem is, while DW Body Butters, Eye Cream, scrubs and some face packs do not contain parabens, this body lotion did. And, until every authority on the planet agrees unanimously that slathering parabens all over your body two times a day does not pose a risk for endometriosis or other oestrogen-related problems, I am staying away from all-over-body products with parabens. Oh, and I did not really like the feel of this body lotion. It took ages to absorb. Will not repurchase.Soap & Glory Glad Hair Day Shampoo
This is the first of the four products which I liked. You have seen this shampoo previously on this blog, when I did a comparison of sulphate-free shampoos. I have no complaints about this shampoo, which does a great job in removing even the greasiest of hair oils without stripping my hair down to component parts. And did I mention the fruity smell? This is my second bottle, and I have run out of this shampoo, unfortunately. Until I manage to travel to a place where they stock Soap & Glory, I will not be able to repurchase.Cherryculture Lip Balm in Grape
I won this in a giveaway from Tshering of TiTi's Corner and I loved this lip balm more than EOS. It was easier to apply and lasted longer. It saw me through the drier months. I have a box full of lip balms to use up, but will do a Cherryculture haul soon.Westside Love and Care Goji Berry Body Butter
Easily one of the most awful body butters I have tried. It took ages to be absorbed and left "wet patches" on white clothes and made my skin feel heavy, if you get what I mean. This is supposed to be made in South Africa. No parabens are listed in the ingredients. It took me ages to finish this body butter. Will NOT repurchase.Bourjois Poudre Exquise in 02 Rose Chic
You know I have loved Bourjois even from my university days, when I was no makeup addict. But this loose powder is one of their products I did not like. First of all, it was not as fine as I would have liked. Secondly, it got all over the place. Thirdly, it did not last on me or mattify well. It took me forever to finish this powder. Will not repurchase.Lancome Genefique-Yeux Light Pearl
The third product I liked from this list, Genefique Yeux Light Pearl has been reviewed here. My sleep routine went for a toss from January this year, which is why this is not as hydrating a cream as I would want, but until then, it was extremely effective, brightening and refreshing my eyes nicely. I will be retaining the applicator, which spreads out eye creams nicely without straining the skin.CopaCabbana [sic] White Orchid and Jasmine Face Scrub
The smell of this product was the only thing I liked about it. It was too creamy and greasy for a face scrub, and non-gritty. Rather like rubbing the wet icing off a cake on your face. It didn't do a thing for me. I took five months to finish this sample jar. Will not repurchase.Harnn Water Lily Detoxifying Face Wash
I have reviewed this here. It was a very decent face wash and much better as a scrub than the thing I mentioned above. Probably will not repurchase, since I have a shelf of face washes to go, and because it does not work well with the Konjac Sponge or the Foreo Luna.Lanoa Natural Soap
From Memebox 4. I have two more of these from further Memeboxes. The problems with these were two-fold. First, there was the slightly sulphurous smell. Second, it sort of sublimed. Evaporated. What else do I call it? My soaps stay in a non-damp place after use and are not waterlogged. I haven't had a soap finish this quickly, ever. But I have to say it was gentle and non-drying on the skin. Repurchase? Got two more already, and I suppose future Memeboxes may also include this.Physiogel Hypoallergenic sample set
From Memebox 5. I liked the cleanser, which I will review soon. I did not like the creams which came in this set. Not very suitable for my face type. Will not repurchase.Have you tried any of these products? Did they work for you? Do share your experiences.
