If the Autumn/Winter beauty box from A Beautiful World sold out in six hours and the Christmas 2013 box, reviewed here, sold out in four hours, the Spring/Summer 2014 beauty box sold out in a little over one hour after it was released! It was thanks to my friend Lorna that I got mine.
A Beautiful World is a UK-based half-yearly beauty box that ships worldwide. Products are always natural and cruelty-free, and the boxes are in high demand. The Spring/Summer 2014 box cost £20 in the UK including shipping, and £32 worldwide including tracked shipping, though I had a £4 discount code to use.
As usual, the hot pink, magnet-closure box came in an ABW carry bag. There is no all-inclusive product card, although a couple of the pots come with their individual cards.
All three sample pots are smaller than the tea bag, which was good for one use.
I am absolutely fond of my makeup cases from Debenhams and Thirty-One Cosmetics, and really doubt I would ever discard them in favour of ziplocks, which need to be clear for checking-in on flights anyway. This one is almost fully opaque with the design.
Summary
So that is one full-sized, brilliant cream, one 12-15ml sample, two 10ml samples and one 8ml pot, one tea bag and one ziplock for £32, though I saved four quid thanks to the coupon. Definitely not worth the price. Their December boxes and the Autumn/Winter 2013 boxes had more products and more generous samples.
I think Memebox (click here to see previous Memeboxes and here to order) has well and truly spoiled me - for an average of $23 a box, they include such generous sizes that this deluge of 10ml - and lesser - samples does not appeal as much. Ditto Lip Factory (previous boxes here) - six full-sized products for $32 including worldwide shipping makes one full-sized product, four tiny samples, a zip lock and a tea bag for £32, pale in comparison.
The ABW customer care is great and this box also included a 20% discount coupon. I will have a look at the spoilers very carefully before I order the next box. Although there is nothing I enjoy more than unboxing a new beauty box, I will be very circumspect about new boxes from now on, and stick to the two with a proven track record.
Disclaimer: I pay for ABW, Memebox and Lip Factory and my opinion cannot be bought.

Here is my review and unboxing of the Spring/Summer 2014 beauty box from A Beautiful World.
Here are the contents of the ABW S/S '14 sampler box:
- MuLondon White Chocolate Elbow, Knee and Heel Cream 60ml
- The Body Deli Fresh Superfood Skincare Melon-Peptide Creme Gel 10ml
- Dahliana Naturals Overnight Fruit Lift Cream ~10ml
- Chocolate Sun Nature's Healthy Tan ~12-15ml
- Bee Yummy Skinfood ~5-8ml
- Naisture Collagen Sheet Mask
- Rose and Chamomille White Tea - one bag
- Tili Ziplock bag
MuLondon White Chocolate Elbow, Knee and Heel Cream 60ml
I received the same thing in the ABW Christmas Box and L.O.V.E. it. I have reviewed it here, do take a look. This cream is beyond brilliant for scaly, rough knees and elbows and looks and smells just like white chocolate, although I have not put it to the taste test. The expiry on this jar is June 2014, although the ABW website says here that this is a printing error and the cream can be used until June 2015.The Body Deli Fresh Superfood Skincare Melon-Peptide Creme Gel 10ml
I was looking forward to trying something from The Body Deli, and this gel actually smells of cantaloupes. It also looks rather like jam. This is an anti-ageing cream gel with peptides, cantaloupe melon (which is an anti-inflammatory), and powerful antioxidants. I only wish they had put in a deluxe sample at 20ml.Dahliana Naturals Overnight Fruit Lift Creme
Some people got an eye cream in their box, and I wish I had received one! This is a night cream which provides deep hydration and boosts collagen production. It contains fruit acids from cherries. As I am very wary about night creams - all the ones I have used so far have broken me out without fail - I will do a patch test first. That said, I wish they had sent a bigger sample, this cannot be more than 10ml.
Chocolate Sun Nature's Healthy Tan
Given that I live on the tropical seaside where it blazes down half the year and pours down from June to December, fake tan should normally not appeal to me during the sunniest months. But I do love the glow I get from Sally Hansen Airbrush Legs and stock up on those. This year in particular, we have had the intense part of summer cut in short thanks to a depression, so I have not tanned as usual. Although this bottle may not last beyond two uses each on the arms and legs, it does smell amazing - like chocolate - and gives me a very subtle, sheer sheen. It takes some time for the tanned glow to turn up, though - when you apply it at first, it just looks like plain moisturiser. This looks like a 12-15ml bottle.Bee Yummy Skinfood
A "live" (don't ask) and organic moisturiser, there is enough in this pot to cover one elbow and maybe half a wrist, if it spreads out well enough. Can't be more than 5-8ml, tops.Naisture Collagen Mask Pack
Another repeat from the December box, where they sent me six of these. I have not used up the whole lot. These masks are nice and hydrating with lots of serum.Rose and Chamomille White Tea
For some reason, I do not like receiving anything that is not beauty-related in a beauty box, be it food or accessories or other things. If I want a snack box, I know where to go order one, thank you very much. Be that as it may, I tried the tea out and did not really like the taste, used as I am to good old, no-fuss Tetley Original. All three sample pots are smaller than the tea bag, which was good for one use.
Tili ziplock bag
I know. You don't have to rub it in. Brand names may be brand names, and designs may be designs, but a ziplock is a ziplock. So there. Can we never talk about this again so that I do not bawl over spending 28 quid to receive a ziplock bag?I am absolutely fond of my makeup cases from Debenhams and Thirty-One Cosmetics, and really doubt I would ever discard them in favour of ziplocks, which need to be clear for checking-in on flights anyway. This one is almost fully opaque with the design.
