Memebox Luckybox 2 unboxing, review

I was going to do this unboxing on video. However, I am/was helping Gramps and Gran move house and fell from the stepladder today, with an ancient Remington falling atop me, and will be out of commission this week. It was bound to happen with all the climbing and carrying over two days. I have a bump on my head and my back hurts badly, but the X-rays are clear, so I only have painkillers and muscle relaxants. I am knackered and bored already, though the laptop and half a dozen books should help. There are times when I appreciate the internet almost as much as printed books.
Anyway, by now, you know all about Memebox, the Korean beauty box that ships worldwide. This is my first Lucky Box, featuring the best of products from Memeboxes 2-7. I already have Memeboxes 4 and 5, but picked this box because I had missed box 7 by seconds and I particularly wanted a tin containing eye and lip colours and nail wraps. As my luck hasn't improved in 10 years, that product was conspicuously absent in this box.

Here are the contents of my Lucky Box 2, from Memebox.

There is no repetition or duplication from the products I already have in boxes 4 and 5, except for the Espoir gloss. And, there are four full-sized products. A quick look at each.
The Nuganic Customise [sic] Sunblock Fresh SPF50 is a full-sized product. It is supposed to be a lightweight cream that also "firms your skin through a single application." This is a timely product to have, given the weather, and will definitely come in use.

No parabens! Korean skincare just keeps getting better and better.

Dr. Jart+ V7 Eye Serum is another full-sized product and my first from the brand. It retails at $38, according to the product card. I have heard loads about the Dr. Jart+ BB Cream, as well as this eye serum, which is supposed to work wonders. I will let you know if it does.

Meanwhile, there are no parabens in this serum and it is not tested on animals. Please click on the photographs to enlarge them.

The LJH Tea Tree 90 Essence comes in a clear glass bottle. Jar, if you like. This contains seabuckthorn and centella and is meant for the face. I wonder what would happen if I tried it on my scalp, as the heat is making it dry and uncomfortable.

Dr.G. Bio-RTx Mentor Cream comes in three variants - "7" is meant for repair and for sensitive skin; #5 is for dry skin while #3 is for oily skin. I was lucky enough to receive #3. It controls sebum production and maintains moisture balance. If this product does what it says, I will be a very happy camper!

The Miseenscene 2x Curl Essence is actually a leave-in treatment for dry, damaged hair, and not meant to enhance curls. It also provides volume. While I have too much of the last, my hair is very dry and damaged after 15 years of bombardment with sulphate-shampoos - every single day. Hopefully, this is the miracle frizz-killer I have been waiting for.

The Espoir Lip Gloss is also a full-sized product and retails at $15. We have seen this gloss in Memebox 5. Only the shade is different. You know how I feel about lip gloss, so I will be selling this unopened.

Finally, there are two sheet masks in this box. Both are from Leaders Insolution. One is the Coconut Bio Mask with Tomato. It is a 100% coconut jelly mask which contains tomato and is supposed to cool down the skin and "dramatially reduce wrinkles".

The second mask is the Bio Medi-curing Mask Aqua Dressing. I have no idea what that handle means, excpet that this is also a coconut jelly mask, but without the tomato!

For some reason, they've got the product cards all wrong this time - they have mixed up the products in this box with the instructions from Memebox 9!

Bottom Line
Another huge win from Memebox. There is only one duplication - I can live with being unable to use one product in a beauty box. This is very good value for money and I am particularly glad to have the Dr Jart+ Eye Serum. My stock of sheet masks was running low, and I'm glad to have two more. There is full-sized sunblock, apart from generous sizes of oil-control cream, tea tree oil and hair repair cream. What more do can one want in a beauty box?
