The problem with the Too Faced Chocolate Bar eyeshadow palette, reviewed here, is that I take ages to apply the shadows because I am too busy sniffing in the chocolatey scent. With packaging that looks just like a chocolate bar, the palette contains 14 eyeshadows infused with cocoa, and the shadows actually smell like chocolate. But I have already talked at length about this palette.
Of late, I have had to push myself into using neutral shadows, but this palette is relatively new in my stash, so it was easy to reach for it, despite the eyeshadows being mostly brown-based neutrals.
The eyeshadows I used for this look were Marzipan, a golden peach frost, in the inner corners and inner one-thirds of the eyelid; Creme Brulee, a medium gold on the middle of the eyelids; and Hazelnut, a golden rust-brown, in the outer crease. I also used Champagne Truffle, a pale-pink highlighter, on the browbone. I wanted to keep this look quite soft and avoided the deeper shades or over-smoking it out.
I used the Pearl Black pencil eyeliner from the Makeon tin I received in my Memebox Superbox 2, which I showed you yesterday - in fact, I'm wearing the Makeon Chok Chok CC Cream in C21 from the box for this look, all over my face. It is too early for a full review, but I think it settled into the scar across the bridge of my nose - see below. I finished with the Karadium On The Top Fibre Mascara from Superbox 2. Not my favourite mascara, though I will persist with it before I confirm that.
I also applied Benefit Gimme Brow on my eyebrows. I think I'm addicted to this little tube and will do a proper review soon. Oh, and all this was above Too Faced Shadow Insurance.
I feel this look is very similar to some of the previous neutral eye looks I have done, particularly this and this. I mean, how much variety can you possibly get when you stick to neutrals alone? At the same time, I can't wear brights everywhere. I need to find a way to infuse some excitement into my eye look, without having to wear colours that you can see from the moon with your n@ked eye.

Here is a soft and shimmery neutral brown eye makeup look I did with the Too Faced Chocolate Bar eyeshadow palette.
