The February 2014 Lip Factory Box is the best they have sent out so far. I know I say this each month. For sheer consistency, value for money, customer care and range, this is my favourite beauty box.
Lip Factory is a US-based makeup-centric beauty box that ships worldwide. You get full-sized makeup products and maybe a sample or two and the value always exceeds the $22 that the box costs ($32 if you're outside the US). They bring in some amazing brands and, every four months, there is an all-lips box. To subscribe, hit their website here. Do mention my reference number 384919 and we'll both get 50 points apiece (can be redeemed for products or boxes).
The theme for the February 2014 Lip Factory Box is Valentine's Day, of
course, and they had put up a spoiler that we could expect more from
Teeez Trendy Cosmetics and that one of the products had jaw-droppingly
stunning packaging. I could hardly wait! Unfortunately, the February box
was delayed all over the world because of the storm. And I had to wait another four days as I was at my Gramps's, recuperating from a complicated wisdom-tooth
extraction.
The product card tells you that this month's box comes to $68.53. Please click on the pictures to enlarge them.
A quick look at each product:
I can't wait to open this, but I have some seven or eight tubes of mascara lined up to be finished, so I will hold on for now and review when I do get around to opening this.
Awesome Orchid is beautiful and very pigmented. I won't say more here or swatch it, as I feel this, like a couple of other products in this box, deserves its own review.
This brush looks like Lip Factory's in-house brand. It feels very soft and not at all scratchy. I'll try it out over the coming weeks.
Bottom Line
Another awesome box from Lip Factory. This is my seventh box from them and I cannot point out a box I didn't like. Their customer service continues to rock.
The March box is supposed to be the all-lips box and they have released a spoiler that we can expect Cargo Cosmetics. I certainly hope I get a couple of lovely dusty-rose and neutral beige lipsticks for spring in there!

A quick look at each product:
Teeez Trendy Cosmetics Desert Metals Mascara in Midnight Sky
Look at that packaging, will you? This is a paraben-, animal derivative- and smudge-free formula specially developed for humid weather, and tested in saunas! Made in the EU, Teeez Trendy is a Netherlands-based brand. This mascara sounds ideal for those living in the tropics.I can't wait to open this, but I have some seven or eight tubes of mascara lined up to be finished, so I will hold on for now and review when I do get around to opening this.
Teeez Trendy Cosmetics Eve's Ready To Wear Lipstick in Awesome Orchid
Another paraben-free product that is not tested on animals. I am not even going to say anything about the packaging. Just take a look!LA Splash Chubby Twist in Pink Orchid
After struggling with their eyeliner and mascara, I was prepared to hate all LA Splash products with a vengeance. C'mon, they were both very much below par. The Chubby "Twist", on the other hand, is a matte lip crayon that is super-pigmented. I'll review it in detail after a couple of trials. After resisting them for years, I need to get me some more lip crayons!Retractable Blush Brush
They were sending out false eyelashes in this box and I had already written in my profile that I never use false eyelashes, toner, lash-curlers or lip gloss, but once I saw the spoilers, I was worried the falsies would slip in. I should have known better - this is Lip Factory we are talking about - they made sure they followed my profile to the T and did not send me the falsies, and included a most-welcome blush brush instead. Now that is brilliant customer service. When I think of all those unwanted lip glosses and skin care that some of the local boxes continued to send me despite my telling them not to....This brush looks like Lip Factory's in-house brand. It feels very soft and not at all scratchy. I'll try it out over the coming weeks.
Starlooks Eyeshadow in Sparkling Ember
I have heard loads about Starlooks and this is my first product from the brand. The colour is beautiful. I will definitely be incorporating it in eye looks soon. I need to get one of those Z-palettes to store all these pans. Unless Lip Factory sends out one!Medusa Makeup Lipstick in Triple X
If you've read my posts on the Lip Factory boxes for November 2013 and December 2013, you know I received the Medusa Makeup lipstick in Skid Row in broken condition two times. I fiddled around with a candle and ended up squishing one and burning myself, so I gave up the ghost. They sent me a replacement in Triple X as they had run out of Skid Row, but this time they double-checked the lipstick before shipping it out to me and it has come in perfect condition. A superb shade. I could go on forever about this, but I'll save my drool for a separate review.Bottom Line
