I haven't skived off full-on moisturising even one day in January 2014, though I have been super-busy that I didn't even wear a face mask all month until the last day. I also used hand cream more or less regularly, though I must confess to wiping it off on my PJs soon afterwards. Not too bad for my resolutions. I didn't make any major beauty discoveries, nor was I too disappointed with anything.
The Body Shop Body Butter Duo in Floral Acai: I love the whole range of The Body Shop's body butters and this was no exception. I won't repurchase as I have three or so tubs of body butters waiting to be opened.
Neutrogena Norwegian Formula Hand Cream: I must admit to wiping this cream off my dry hands minutes after applying it - it was a bit too greasy for my liking. This is a great emollient if you can put up with the formula. But I am a light sleeper and can't stand greasiness on the feet or hands.
The Body Shop Peppermint Intensive Foot Rescue: A great winter foot cream. It helped with my heels. I still have loads of foot creams to finish, so won't be repurchasing for now.
L'Oreal True Match Super Blendable Too Way Foundation: Didn't like it one bit. It did everything but blend and ended up caking in my pores. I used it for touch-ups after that, and even so, there was caking. Will not repurchase. Why do I end up buying other powder foundations when I already have Shiseido Sheer Mattifying Foundation which I love??
Edge Fit Heart Filler Cream: From my Wish Box #15. A really hydrating cream that was easily absorbed and felt cooling on the skin. Especially loved using it on the neck. I still have two of these left.
Dermalogica Concealing Spot Treatment sample: This concealed acne well, though it didn't remove the pimples. Also, it smelt a bit too sulphurous for my comfort. I used it to cover the hyperpigmentation.
Amore Pacific Rejuvenating Eye Gel samples: There was enough for a week, and I must say it was very hydrating. But my ill-treatment of my peepers has been so terrible over the last month that only regular sleep can cure me.
What did you use up in January? Have you discovered any Holy Grail products already this year?
Anyway, here are the beauty products I used up in January 2014.
Lifting Crystal Eye Patches: These were from a Glamabox. They were supposed to eradicate dark circles and I acquired heavy dark circles thanks to a horrendous schedule in January. They didn't do a thing for me, and I've realised that only proper sleep and me-time can really eradicate dark circles. The Body Shop Body Butter Duo in Floral Acai: I love the whole range of The Body Shop's body butters and this was no exception.
