Yes, all those tubes are the same lipstick. Around four similar boxes constituted the sum total of my lipstick collection until the latter part of 2012.
You have been reading my praise for my ultimate Holy Grail lipstick, the Chanel Rouge Double Intensite Ultra Wear Lip Colour in Rose Garnet, from the time this blog began. I've received messages asking me what makes it special and where it is available, so I thought it was time to devote a post to it.
This is the only shade and make of lipstick I owned for two years and I have gone through quite a few of these. Chanel discontinued this shade and relaunched the Rouge Double Intensite range in November 2013 (boo!) - but as you can see, I have five full tubes and a sixth tube in use at the moment and hopefully a seventh on the way, so I'm good for a while. See why I firmly advocate hoarding?
Applicator is doe foot. I like this packaging; clean, no-nonsense.
"Glorious long-lasting colour paired with high-shine gloss delivers full-coverage colour that lasts all day. Glossy top coat imparts brilliant shine and superb hydration, while the innovative fluid texture of the base colour coat applies smoothly, comfortably, with perfect adherence to lips - and no transferring or feathering."
The formula is thick and very opaque, though it spreads on the lips to look like a second skin of colour. This is a drying formula, so you will need lip balm or gloss above it. No flaking, peeling or fading noticed in more than two years' usage of this amazing lipstick.
This is what Rose Garnet looks on my lips at the END of a work day (old photograph). I used to wear this all day, every day, until the shade was discontinued, and never had to reapply once.
1. With Nuxe Micellar Water - does not budge.
2. With Lancome Bifacil - some flaking noticed
3. Chanel Le Blanc Oil Gel Makeup Remover - not much of an effect
4. Max Clinic Cleansing Oil Foam - yes, does a not-too-bad job, though some of the lip colour is left. I'll review this cleanser soon.
My solution is to use a wet wipe, Max Clinic Cleansing Oil Foam, take a shower and then brush my teeth. That is the only process that helps remove this lipstick.
Bottom Line
Chanel has released the same range with different shade names in November 2013 and they cost $35. I understand that Rose Garnet has not been retained, not even under a different name. If someone could tell me I'm wrong, I would be much obliged. If not, I'll have to continue to look for the perfect, long-staying dupes.

Here is my review and swatches of the Chanel Rouge Double Intensite Ultra Wear Lip Colour in Rose Garnet.
Packaging of Chanel Rouge Double Intensite Ultra Wear Lip Colour
Within the black box is the double-ended tube containing lip colour at one end and gloss at the other. This is the best gloss to go with this lipstick, though I have used it with a variety of lip balms and glosses.Applicator is doe foot. I like this packaging; clean, no-nonsense.

Swatches of Rouge Double Intensite in Rose Garnet and Rosestone
I hae done a comparative swatch with the Rouge Double Intensite Lip Colour in Rosestone. I also have Rose Quartz which is a lighter shade than Rose Garnet but I haven't dug it out of my treasure trove! Rose Garnet - the dusty rose - to the left; Rosestone - deeper and more fuchsia - to the right. This is what Rose Garnet looks on my lips at the END of a work day (old photograph). I used to wear this all day, every day, until the shade was discontinued, and never had to reapply once.
Staying power of Chanel Rouge Double Intensite Ultra Wear Lip Colour
This. Stays. Through. Pizza. Karen of Makeup and Beauty Blog calls it the "terminator" of long-lasting lipsticks and she's right! They even last longer than Mikyajy Sabaya, MUFE Aqua Rouge and several other similar lipsticks I have tried. Here are some experiments.1.
