I received the Crabtree & Evelyn Iris Bath and Body set for my birthday this year and forgot all about it until the time came for "fall-cleaning" - that's when I fell in love with everything "iris".
You get a set of Crabtree & Evelyn minis in a very handy toiletry pouch that is great to store travel bottles in. This is also a great Christmas gift idea. The pouch's zip even comes with the Crabtree & Evelyn logo.
The Iris Body Cream is a great all-over moisturiser, as I've been discovering. It is paraben-free, non-greasy and absorbed quickly enough without leaving grease on your clothes. The iris-fragrance is mild and pleasant. It doesn't last too long, though. I'm not sure how this moisturiser would fare in really dry weather, as it is quite light. I also feel it won't address "reptilian fish-scales" or really dry skin. The texture is thinner than body butter, though thicker than lotion.
The Iris Bath & Shower Gel contains SLS. It doubles up as a bubble bath or a body wash gel and lathers up very well. I haven't used it as a bath soak as I have way too many of those to finish. I'm a tad more fond of the Lush and The Body Shop shower gels than this; they're more squeaky-cleansing without being harsh. Still, it is in my travel bag and will be finished.
Iris Triple Milled Soap - I'm afraid I haven't got around using the soap yet. So the review will have to wait. Suffice it to say it smells the strongest of the lot and the fragrance hits you the moment you open the pouch.
The Iris Body Lotion is my favourite of the lot, despite the strong fragrance that lingers. The texture is just right - creamy but not too runny; not thick. I am thinking of repurchasing this once I run out.
You get the kit in a matching Crabtree & Evelyn bag which I can't bring myself to throw away - which is why this set makes a great Christmas prezzie idea and a nifty stocking filler.
