Two days to go! I thought I would try my hand at a freehand manicure in the hope that the spirits of Christmases past, present and future would steady my shaky nail art brushes. I chose a very basic design of Christmas trees with the odd bit of tinsel and ornaments. I used O.P.I. Green-wich Village as the base colour. This is a parrot-green crème nail polish from the Mod About Brights collection.
Over this, I applied a very basic, lopsided Christmas tree design using China Glaze Heart Of Africa, with a nail art brush.
I then realised that the Christmas trees should have been green with the maroon providing the contrasting background, but too late! I added some weird ornaments with Konad nail art pens and topped up with NYX Peach Avenue, which is a flakie polish, for some added bling. Asymmetric, but that's the sum total of my freehand nail art skills for you!
This is my submission to the Nail Art For Nubs link-up hosted by Leticia of Cosmetics Aficionado. You can participate as often as you like (posts go live on Mondays) and get the code here.
I've bought some O.P.I., Ciate and Models Own nail polishes and will share them soon! Meanwhile, I wish you all and your families a great Christmas!
