My November 2013 Glamabox came to $22.50 including registered postage, and the external box is the same Alice in Wonderland-themed design of the last two months, designed by Agnes Bulloche.
Glamabox is a beauty box based in Hong Kong, and is well known in Singapore and
Taiwan as well. Each item is handpicked by founder and international fashion
model Lisa Selesner, who tries them first. The box costs HKD118 a month (That's Hong Kong
Dollars. Google for exchange rates). Postage varies, depending on registered, EMS or speed post options - you need to
ask by emailing them here. Please do mention that you heard about this from or were sent by Renu of My Beauty Junction!
Here's what's inside my November 2013 Glamabox:
- Prodigy Advanced Moisturising Soothing Face Cream
- Elisha Coy Always Nuddy CC Cream
- Kamill Classic Hand and Nagel Cream
- Dr Ci: Labo Aqua Collagen Gel set
- L&P Pumpkin-ade Sheet Mask
- Bijoux Hand Spa Wipe
And now, the November Glamabox contents in detail:
Prodigy Advanced Moisturising Soothing Face Cream
This is a full-size product. I had seen skin lightening creams in other people's boxes and was a bit apprehensive, since I hate skin lightening products. Thankfully they sent me the paraben- and fragrance-free face cream.
So Prodigy was established by a Swiss doctor who graduated from medical school at age 16. Eeeek! Anyway, after I got No7 in the August Glamabox (here), I'm glad they're continuing to send international products as well as regional ones. This full-size product costs US$58 on the Prodigy Skin Care website, which is a lot more than the cost of the box!
Kamill Classic Hand and Nail Cream and Elisha Cow Always Nuddy CC Cream
Both are travel-sized. The hand cream goes into my travel bag. And the CC cream goes unopened into a Korean skin care giveaway I have planned after my first blogoversary.
Kamill is a German brand (yay, more international brands!) and the hand cream contains chamomille, so should be a good one. And Elisha Coy needs no introduction to any woman who knows where Korea is!
Dr Ci: Labo Aqua Collagen Gel set
I don't see much need for collagen in my life right now, so these go to the mater who has served as repository for anti-ageing products ever since I began subscribing to beauty boxes. Dr Ci: Labo is a Japanese brand which has more cosmoceuticals than makeup as such, and is established by dermatologists.
L & P Pumpkin-ade Sheet Mask
Another full-size, and I really like the convenience of sheet masks now. How cute is that packet, though? I hope I can bring myself to open it and use the sheet mask!
Bijoux Hand Spa Wipe
A Japanese luxury brand, Bijoux is a hand-spa specialist. There's just the one wipe here, so this is going into my travel bag, too.
So I really liked this box and it has been decent value for money. Next month is the Christmas-special Glamabox and I can't wait to see what's inside!
