I was tagged by Tshering for this post and my current writing assignment comprises characters with the seven deadly sins, so I thought applying the sins to my make-up addiction would be fun. You can also read Louise's post on this. Here goes:
1. GREED: What is your most expensive beauty item?
Lancome Visionaire. Bought two for S$180 each last December, with a gift with purchase. Still.... And I don't know how well it works because I use it only when I'm feeling way too extravagant.
2. WRATH: Which beauty item do you have a love/hate relationship with?
Loose powder. I love using it for touch-ups, but end up with powder on my hair, in my ears, up my nostrils... you get the picture.
3. GLUTTONY: What brand makes up the biggest chunk of your make up collection?
O.P.I. It fills up three racks and wins by a mile. For the face, I use products across brands, so there really isn't a "chunk" brand - winning by a very slight margin is Benefit. If skin care counts, I would say Soap & Glory.
4. SLOTH: What product do you neglect to use due to laziness?
I tend to skive off moisturising all over, so the body butters tend to hang around. Ditto the fixing spray. On that note, I just realised why I've been looking half-awake today - I've left home without wearing mascara. Nice. Two people have already asked if I got powder on my lashes and if I've been crying.
5. PRIDE: Which beauty product gives you the most confidence?
Lipstick. A very close second is a pressed powder compact, which mops up the oil spill from my tanker-sized pores.
6. LUST: Which item is at the top of your beauty wish list?
O.P.I. Yoga-ta Get This Blue because each time I try to buy it, the fiddly shop/website tells me it's out of stock. It's been years now and I'm beginning to think that particular polish and I are jinxed.
7. ENVY: What make up product / look looks great on others but not on yourself?
Oh, where can I even start! Peach lipstick. Blush. Lip gloss. Choppy curls. Rebonded (bound?) hair. Pastel eyeshadows. I could go on forever.
