I got the Bare Minerals Pretty Amazing Lipcolor in the shade Courage last month and, ever since then, it has become one of my favourite lip products. Since I have a cold and mild fever, I'm pitching in without mincing words.
Features: I wouldn't call the Pretty Amazing Lip Color a glossy stain; I'd call it a liquid lipstick.
Packaging: Winner. Small enough for your clutch; convenient enough for the clumsiest. I love the design and the black; the finish won't let you get your fingerprints on it.
Formula: Pretty Amazing! The Bare Minerals lip color is incredibly pigmented and feels heavy - even tacky, but not uncomfortable - on the lips so you know it is there. It did not bleed or go on streaky.
Applicator: Doe's foot, but a slightly flat version.
Staying power: I'm sick of saying "through lunch", so I'm going to risk a comparison here - it stays on longer than Rimmel Apocalips and for less time than CoverGirl Outlast; and fades evenly into a stain. I didn't use a lip liner.
Shade/colour: I have the shade Courage, which is a red with pink and purple undertones and microshimmer. The Bare Minerals website describes it as a "warm strawberry". You can see light and heavy swatches below.
Would I repurchase? I want to try the shades Fearless and Confidence next. I recommend the Bare Minerals Pretty Amazing Lip Color to all people who like those "glossy stains" such as Apocalips, La Laque Fever, Rouge Allure Laque, Lacquer Rouge and so on.
