So here are my recent tags and Versatile Blogger Awards, thanks to some very lovely people.
Nadja of Throw Me Something Beautiful has tagged me on the This or That post. Please do check out her blog, she has a great giveaway going on. I'm so, so sorry it took me ages to do this, I've been buried in a mixture of things from family issues to work. Anyway, here are my answers:
MAKE-UP
Blush or Bronzer? Bronzer. Only certain non-shimmery dusky rose blushes look good on me, and I love the contoured look bronzer gives you.
Lip gloss or Lipstick? Lipstick FOREVER! I do not use glosses, unless they're plain clear ones over really drying lippies.
Eyeliner or Mascara? Eyeliner. Whether I use mascara or not, my lashes don't really stand out, but eyeliner really brightens my eyes.
Foundation or concealer? Foundation. If I do concealer alone, you'll know I'm wearing it on certain spots. Ewwww!
Neutral or Colour Eyeshadow? Both! I like matching my shadow to my dress unless it's an outlandish colour, so I would say colour - by a thin margin.
Pressed or Loose Eyeshadow? Pressed! As it is, I get it all over my cheeks and have to reapply my foundation. Argh!
Brushes or sponges? Depends. For shadows and bronzer/blush, I use brushes. For foundation, I use a sponge.
NAILS
O.P.I. or China Glaze? Very, very close - O.P.I., simply because I love the names, formulae and colour, more consistently, whereas there are certain CG collecctions I'm not too fond of.
Long or short? Medium. I like the length I normally wear.
Natural or Acrylic? Natural! I can't ever imagine going acrylic any more than I can imagine getting a boob job or a faux nose.
Brights or darks? I prefer darks, but not too dark. And, I force myself to wear those pastels. There are some brights that I really love, though.
Flower or no flower? Stamping! Haha! Or glitter, or shatter or water marbling or... any kind of art, but not those decals or plastic things you affix.
BODY
Perfume or Body Spray? Perfume for nights/special occasions, body spray for daily wear.
Lotion or Body Butter? Both, but lotion wins by a whisker because I love the feel a bit more.
Body Wash or Soap? Both. Sorry, it depends on my mood. I love special or handmade soaps. And I love my Shower Gel. So tie.
Lush or another bath company? Lush and The Body Shop. Tie.
FASHION
Jeans or sweat pants? If I'm outside, it's jeans. If it's indoors or really casual, sweat pants.
Long sleeves or short? Long. They're so elegant. I'd say, elbow length onwards.
Dresses or skirts? Dresses. I do have and love skirts, but nothing can beat a good dress.
Stripes or plaid? Vertical stripes. If not, plaid.
Flip flops or sandals? I hate flip flops (I know, I'm weird) and prefer pumps or ballerina flats to anything else. If not, strappy sandals.
Studs or dangly earrings? Dangly ones. I also love ring-shaped earrings, haha.
Necklaces or bracelets? I'm an ear-piece person. Bracelet, if I'm wearing a high-neck. Necklace, if my sleeves are very long.
Heels or flats? Heels, heels, heels. Even if they kill me!
Jacket or hoodie? Jacket!
HAIR
Curly/straight? Wavy. It's not ramrod-straight, but wavy veering towards straight, and I'm happy with it.
Bun or ponytail? Ponytail. Easy, convenient.
Light or dark? Mousy brown. I wish it was auburn, though.
Long or short? It was short until my studies were over. Now it's really long. I prefer short, maybe I'll rebel and cut it all off one day.
Up or down? Down.
RANDOM
Rain or shine? We need both, lol.
Autumn or spring? Autumn. I love O.P.I.'s fall collection every darn year.
Chocolate or vanilla? Vanilla. The only chocolate I like is white chocolate.
I tag: whoever wants to do this.
Earlier this month, Jess of Let's Play Make-up, Nakita of N. Style and Beauty and Natalie of Buttons and Lipstick nominated me for the Versatile Blogger Award. I'm so happy about this and thank them all - for liking my blog and for letting me know that they do! I've done this award a couple of times, so I thought I'd combine all three nominations. Please do check out their blogs - all of them are very kind and they blog about some lovely make-up, from nail art and reviews to storage ideas. Here are the seven facts about me:
1. I literally got lost at age three. My folks and I were in a shop and mum went to try something on and dad looked the other way for a second, and I didn't see them. I thought they had left without me and ran outside and kept running into the middle of the busy traffic. A kind man got me, even as my frantic parents were chasing after me.
2. I've been bitten by a dog, attacked by a cat, bitten by a rat, jumped upon by a frog... animal magnetism. So I'm really scared of them all!
3. The first time I wore foundation in public was to a cousin's wedding. It was a disaster, the shade was wrong and you could tell the mismatch with the neck.
4. I learned to apply eyeshadow properly only recently. I still think I don't really do it all that well.
5. Sometimes, I'm really content to just lounge about at home in a kaftan or a tatty dressing gown, without make-up.
6. I like piping hot showers.
7. I love matching my mani to my clothes.
Meanwhile, I'm having a lovely blast of a birthday today. Will share my outfit and prezzies (and nails - water marbling, if you please) tomorrow :)
Do check out my international giveaway - multiple lots of prizes to be won!
