I'm a layperson with no special knowledge or experience in this field, so I would probably have separated personal care and looked at cosmetics/make-up alone. And, I would have pegged the order as follows:

- Procter & Gamble (owns Olay, SK-II, Max Factor and CoverGirl)
- L'Oreal (Blimey. Owns everything from Lancome to YSL, Urban Decay, Essie, Maybelline....)
- Unilever (TRESemme, Noxzema, Dove and so on)
- Shiseido (Owns NARS, BareMinerals and so on)
- Avon
