How collected information may be used/For what purpose is the information collected?
Cosmetopia Digest may collect and use Users' personal information for the following purposes:- To improve the Site: The owner may use feedback you provide, as well as demographic and browsing patterns, to improve the Site's products and services.
- To send giveaway prizes to winners: The owner will require email addresses to facilitate entries to giveaways and contests run on the Site and will need shipping information of the winners in order to deliver the prizes to them. Email and shipping addresses thus collected will never be sold or shared with outside parties, apart from those who are shipping out the prizes.
- For the weekly email newsletter: Readers are offered the option to subscribe to a weekly email newsletter, where they are sent information regarding the latest beauty news, once a week. For this purpose, email addresses may be required to receive the newsletter. This is an automated service, and the User's email address entered is directly collected by the automated service provider who then automatically emails the User once a week about latest posts.
- To deliver tailor-made advertising: Third-party advertisers may run advertising banners on Cosmetopia Digest. Please see the paragraph with the sub-heading "Advertising" further below.
Free email newsletter
If you decide to subscribe to the free weekly email newsletter via any of the many sign up forms located throughout this Site, then your name and email address are required. Your email address is used to send you the emails, and your name is used to personalise the newsletter. This process is automatically done by MailChimp (view their privacy policy here).
If you wish to unsubscribe, you may do so through the "Unsubscribe" link at the bottom of every email newsletter. If you are unable to unsubscribe, please contact me using the contact tab above on this website, or using the email specified in my newsletter. All emails you receive are CAN-SPAM compliant.
