That time of the month again - when I show you the trash take stock of the products I finished up. There are fewer products than usual this month, because I have been rotating through several products. Quite a few samples in here, though, mostly from beauty boxes. Take a look, and share your own empties' post in the link-up!
Scroll down for details on the beauty products I used up in May 2016 and for my thoughts on each.
Masks:
Entel Ginseng Sheet Mask
I swear by ginseng anything. This was nice and hydrating. Think it was a GWP from a Korean haul.Repurchase? No, too many sheet masks in the sea.
REN Glycolactic Radiance Renewal Mask
Took me a while to warm up to the idea of resurfacing with glycolic acid, but I really loved this mask. Easy to use; easy to rinse off. The "sting" was bearable and left behind glowing skin.Repurchase? Definitely.
Bath and body:
Sephora Supreme Body Lotion
A GWP from Sephora Dubai. Decent.Repurchase? No, other lotions to try out.
Obey Your Body Hand Lotion
Israeli brand I picked up from some Mall or the other. Good, but not blown away.Repurchase? No.
Soap & Glory Glow Lotion
Beautiful all-over shimmer that smelled fabulous. It was like a light holographic veil on the skin.Repurchase? Eventually.
Unbranded bath gel from a hotel in Spain
I'm weird; I bring my own toiletries and then pack up the ones the hotel offers. Then I use THOSE at leisure. I got this when I travelled in August but it took me all these months to locate it and use it up.Repurchase? Not applicable.
Face:
Caudalie Polyphenol C15 Serum
Superbly gentle and hydrating. Sinks in so beautifully, I can layer this below makeup without problems. Subtle floral fragrance. Responsible for my rapidly normalising skin texture post-infection.Repurchase? Already did, but package was damaged in the post (a tragic episode with lots of broken glass, bandages and bloodied fingers). Have ordered replacement and hope it turns up before my skin develops withdrawal syndrome.
Dr Brandt Glow Samples
The Overnight Resurfacing Serum is a brilliant 2% retinol treatment that exfoliates as you sleep. The Ruby Crystal Hydracreme wasn't as impressive; maybe because there wasn't much of it to go around.Repurchase? Have bought the Overnight Resurfacing Serum. More on this and the above serum in separate posts.
BareMinerals Active Cell Renewal Night Serum
Got this in December but it has already dried up - despite being sealed. What the?Repurchase? If this dries up in four months in TROPICAL weather, imagine how it would fare in temperate weather.
Caudalie Vinosource Quenching Sorbet Creme
The Vinosource range is perfect for adequately hydrating oily-skinned people without a single breakout.Repurchase? Done.
Caudalie Vinoperfect Radiance Serum
Caudalie is definitely the most affordable "good skincare" out there.Repurchase? Have three more of these 10ml tubes; each lasts about a month.
Innisfree Green Tea Seed Serum
A runny, thin serum that applied and was absorbed without problems. Not much to mention by way of results, though.Repurchase? No, I'll invest in Caudalie.
EOS Lipbalm
This was fun to use at first; then I realised that pretty much all the product inside was exposed to air each time I applied this, and it turned out to be a lint/foundation/lippie/skincare/dust/random fluff magnet.Repurchase? Nah.
Bella Cotton Pads
I use one of these 90-pad packs each month, but because there are so few empties this month, I kept this empty packet to add volume to the photos.Repurchase? Forever.
