Birthday party FOTD with smoky eye makeup

Ft. NARS foundation, Cargo eyeshadows and Rimmel lip colour.

It was my birthday on Tuesday, and I did a smoky eye makeup look for the party at night. It has been a while since I did a smoky look. I opted for very deep grey-green eyeshadow, to match my dress, and paired it with a medium pink lip. I kept the rest of the face matte and mildly bronzed, though I oiled up as usual after a couple of hours. I also wore my current-favourite pair of earrings.

The look. This was after I returned home; I have no idea how I managed to "pose". I also swear I have no idea when my hair went into a ponytail.

In retrospect, I should probably have avoided that MUFE green liquid liner, which didn't help with my glazed expression.

 

Lips

Rimmel Provocalips in I'll Call You.

This looks more mauve-pink in artificial light. Being a long-stay liquid lipstick, this one stayed put through all the grease and liquids. I only touched up the glossy topcoat.

Accessories

The earrings I wore are this year's birthday prezzie from my Dad. I haven't owned black gold (an alloy of gold-cobalt-chromium) jewellery until now and I am OBSESSED with this pair.

This year's cake was vanilla-blueberry-caramel. It's all gone now, and I shall spend the rest of the month in deep penance making amends for the excesses. Cabbage soup and daily gymming from the weekend.
